What to expect from a Vantage visit
A morning call with a three-hour arrival window, a factory-trained technician who covers your floors before opening a tool bag, a written estimate before any repair, and a warranty on the work.
How do I book, and when will the technician arrive?
Call the office or use the booking form with the appliance type, brand and what is happening. Our customer liaison schedules the day. On the morning of the visit, between 8:00 and 8:30, we call you with a three-hour arrival window. You can ask for a time range and we will try to fit it, though we can’t always.
What does the service call fee cover?
Every visit has a service call fee. It covers sending a technician to your home and up to 30 minutes of in-home diagnosis. If more work is needed, the technician gives you a written estimate before any repair begins, and the diagnostic fee is applied to the repair if you go ahead. Current rates (2026): $332.00 plus GST for the service call and the first 30 minutes of in-home service, then $55.00 plus GST for each additional 15 minutes, plus parts.
What happens if parts are needed?
Before the technician leaves, you are told whether the parts are on the truck, at the parts distributor, or on order, and roughly how long they will take. You will never be left guessing about why the repair isn’t finished.
What warranty do I get?
Our repairs carry a warranty on workmanship and on the parts we install. The length depends on the repair, so ask when you book. Any warranty the manufacturer provides on a replacement part is passed on to you in full. Food spoilage is not covered by our warranty or the manufacturer’s.

A fair question about price
Not every review is five stars. This one is worth reading before you book.
Service is good… BUT
The service call pricing is extremely high. They charge $316.00 for the first 30 minutes, then $52.00 for each additional 15 minutes, plus the cost of any parts used. Be aware that the $316 was only to diagnose the issue—no repairs were carried out beyond that. Make sure you’re prepared for this level of pricing before booking a service.
Thank you for your thoughtful review. We completely understand how challenging it is to keep up with rising costs—it’s something we’re all feeling. Despite the mounting pressure, we’ve held our pricing steady this year because we believe in fairness and transparency.
What many customers may not realize is that some companies advertise low service call fees, only to offset them with inflated part prices and hidden charges. We’ve chosen a different path. Our billing is designed to be clear and upfront, without burying extra costs in fine print or parts pricing. While this approach may invite scrutiny, we believe it’s the right thing to do for our customers.
If you’re curious to learn more, we’ve put together a short video that explains our pricing philosophy:
Watch: Why Appliance Repair Costs What It DoesThe rates in this review are the ones we held through 2024 and 2025. We couldn’t hold them for another year: current rates are $332.00 plus GST for the service call and first 30 minutes, and $55.00 plus GST for each additional 15 minutes, plus parts.
In your home
The same steps on every call, written into our policy manual.
- Your technician introduces themselves at the door.
- Work surfaces are covered before any tools come out. Technicians wear disposable gloves, and masks on request.
- They listen to your account of the problem first, then ask questions.
- Existing marks or damage are noted and photographed before work starts.
- Connections and installation are checked against the manufacturer’s specifications, and any safety risk is explained to you.
- With your approval, the repair is made, then tested to confirm the appliance is working as intended.
- The area is cleaned up, and you choose how you’d like receipts and work-order copies.
Will you keep my information private?
Yes. Your schedule, name, phone number and address are not shared without your consent. Copies of work orders go to the person paying for the work; tenants, condo boards and other third parties need that person’s written permission.
What happens to the old parts and refrigerant?
Refrigerant is recovered into approved containers and returned for proper disposal. Circuit boards and copper are recycled, and packaging comes back to the shop for recycling. You are welcome to keep replaced parts that aren’t under a manufacturer’s warranty.
Today we can be better than we were yesterday.
